Sky M.D. is a full-service air ambulance company specializing in bedside to bedside critical care and non-critical care transports. Our flight staff of nurses, paramedics, and doctors provide the patient with the highest level of care. We provide both 24-hour EMERGENCY and non-emergency medical transports as well as medical charters.

Air Ambulance Services

Our Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transports (CCT) in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equiped aircraft. Our medical staff has years of emergency medical care experience gained in emergency rooms and through 911 ambulance calls.

Sky M.D. provides all levels of Advanced Life Support (ALS) including Critical Care Transports (CCT) in our Intensive Care Unit equipped aircraft. Sky M.D. will provide a flight nurse, flight paramedic, and if necessary a flight doctor.

Our medical coordinators and staff doctors are involved in the transport process from beginning to end and can be contacted at any point during flight via satellite phone. We also cater to the specific desires of our patients and their families and can provide multiple paramedics and nurses.

Aircraft transporting ALS patients must have personnel and equipment necessary to provide BLS functions as well as the capability to perform cardiac defibrillation, control dysrythmaias, administer drugs and establish and maintain respiratory airways. In addition, medical personnel on board the aircraft must be capable of providing care for the condition causing the need for transport.

To provide Critical Care services, highly and specifically trained physicians and flight nurses are part of the on board medical crew. Our Critical Care medical personnel have specialized training enabling them to perform medical procedures on board our aircraft.

Sky M.D. provides Basic Life Support (BLS) transports with a nurse and paramedic or just a paramedic depending on the needs or desires of the patient. BLS is mostly preventative in nature. It is appropriate for patients needing minimal external life support, but in need of monitoring or potential care during flight. Our aircraft transporting patients requiring BLS must have both the equipment and personnel on board capable of handling and treating a medical emergency.

Sky M.D. also provides medical air charters with or without a stretcher or medical team depending on the needs of the patient.
