Flight and pilot training in Long Beach southern california

All included* – Guaranteed

After the introduction of the new Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) in Europe, many Europeans have had difficulty in making sense of all the new regulations and certifications.

At Rainbow Air Academy we are proud to introduce the new European PTIP course, which promises to make the process of becoming a professional pilot in Europe as straight forward and price-contained as it is in the USA.

Just like FAA PTIP, the Euro PTIP will prepare you from zero, to 1500 hours and a full blown JAA Airline Transport Pilot license in less than 36 months - guaranteed! This will include twelve different licenses (including JAA) and over 600 hours of multiengine time, of which at least 500 will be in heavy turboprop twin engine flying in multi-crew configuration. No more struggling to achieve a job with a European airline with only a frozen ATP and no experience. You will train in the most sophisticated, and congested training environment in the world. And after graduation you will be licensed to accept jobs in almost any country in the world.

The European Professional Training Internship Program is divided in four parts.

Phase One is the basic training, giving the student all the required ratings and licenses to become a Certified Flight Instructor for Primary, Instrument, and Multiengine ratings.

Phase two is the actual internship/training, through which the student builds his/her experience and confidence as PIC, teaching other students in their initial training, and attending mandatory training seminars held by the Chief instructor or his delegates, (Airline interview preparation, career counseling, advanced training techniques, CRM, Turboprop bridge program etc.).

Phase three will be a Graduation Grant of 500 hours of training as SIC in a Twin-Engine Turboprop Cargo airplane (Metroliner, BE-200, BE-1900 or BE-99), in "Real World Environment" with one of our contracted cargo airlines. This will be followed by preparation and achievement of the US Airline Transport Pilot License (FAA-ATPL) at which point the course will move back to Europe.

Phase four will prepare you for a frozen European ATPL in the UK. Once achieved, you will travel to Italy to prepare for a JAA Citation Jet Rating that will “unfreeze” your JAA-ATPL. At this point the course will be considered ended.
The guaranteed total number of hours achieved during this program will be over 1500. The time required for the completion of the program will be approximately 30 to 33 months. The course will include:

  • Dual/solo flight time for a total of 1000 hours,
