Welcome to the world of flight.
After graduating in 1980 with a degree in aviation from the University
of Oklahoma , I set off with a dream. Dreams are wonderful, but
they do not come true unless they’re turned into goals. So,
I moved to California to turn my dream into reality, and did what
many dreamers do: I bet everything I had on my dream. I wanted to
establish an Aviation organization that would be recognized for
its reliability and quality. After many years, through good times
and bad, that dream has stayed true and Rainbow Air has grown to
a level that required additional expertise. I needed a partner who,
not only had my same desires, but also the expertise necessary for
further expansion. With David Parsons as Executive Vice President,
Rainbow Air has turned into the powerhouse it is today. The dream
has become reality, and a testament to hard work, belief, and good
judgment.
Our fleet is constantly expanding with 24 company
owned aircraft: including Two BeechCraft King Air 200's and a Beechcraft King Air C90
More aircraft are being added to our charter fleet and new contracts
are being presently negotiated. To this we add a brand new, two
million dollar facility to house a first class charter operation,
air-ambulance service, international flight academy, fueling and
maintenance facilities. We are now poised for steady and constant
growth into the next decade.
Our charter operation is my pride and joy, and
it is developing into the dream I’ve never abandoned. So,
it is extremely important to me that our services reflect the sense
of respect for the customer that is the foundation of our work ethic.
My desire for quality customer service starts with the attitude
management conveys to all employees from the moment they’re
hired: It is everyone’s job to ensure satisfaction and quality.
This philosophy trickles down to our professional pilot students
in the Academy, where along with the technical aspect of becoming
a professional in this field, we teach to never forget that the
reason why any flight operation stays in business is ultimately
customer satisfaction. And this brings us to the flight Academy.
Since 1979, Rainbow Air Academy, our flight training
division, has had an outstanding reputation for quality training
and service. Rainbow Air Academy is an FAA Part 141 approved school,
and through our European and Japanese associations, we can also
train to standards for the European JAA, and for the Japanese JCAB
here in the USA.
Every year we qualify a number of pilots with
the preparation level required by commercial operators worldwide.
Our objective is not to leave professional candidates hoping to
achieve more experience in order to get their first job. Graduates
of our professional pilot programs are currently working for a number
of major airlines and corporate operations, such as Air Portugal,
Alitalia, Iberia, Korean Airlines, JAL, Olympic Airlines, British
Airlines, American Eagle, Ameriflight, US Air force, Papillion Helicopters,
PHI, and many more.
We’ve made great efforts to contain the
costs and keep our competitive edge. We invite you to make a close
comparison with any other flight training facility in the USA. You
will find that our many years of catering to the needs of private
and career pilots allow us to provide a comprehensive range of services
in most categories of General Aviation.
We are proud of our long and reputable standing
in the aviation industry, and hope you will join our list of satisfied
customers and graduates.
